MHBCA is pleased to announce the line has been picked up by Velo Orange.
For those not familiar with VO, here’s some copy from their website:
Welcome to Velo Orange, manufacturers and purveyors of parts and accessories for randonneurs and cyclo-tourists.
Most cyclists don’t race, yet they ride uncomfortable racing bikes and try to go too fast and [...]

October 2008

I sent off a note to a few of our dealers today to ask how things were going with the new line. I got some great feedback on what items were selling and some rider commentary on the bags. One comment that stuck out was from Kevin MacAfee from Hiawatha Cyclery. Anyway, Jim said they’ve [...]

September 2008

Check out this sweet little write-up on Minnehaha Bag Co. in the September 22-October 5th issue of the Southwest Journal in Minneapolis.

We just returned from Interbike where we had the good fortune of meeting up with some old friends, making some new friends and basically trying to sell some more bags. We ran into Brad and Jeff from Urban Velo who said they had spotted someone sporting a new Minnehaha bag and snapped a photo. [...]

Mr. Hurl needed a new bag for Interbike.

Eric (or as Hurl refers to him ‘Betsy Ross’) obliged by sewing this Cars-R-Coffins patch on the bag.. We think it snazzes up the #05003 Canvas and Leather Shoulder Bag.

The #05001 Small Canvas and Leather Saddlebag has been getting some love on the interwebs. Russ Roca over at the Epicurean Cyclist and BikeCommuters.com put together this slick little video showing just how much stuff you can cram into this so-called small seat bag.

The tale of the tape:
2 tire levers
1 multi-http://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.giftool
1 patch kit
1 Sigg Aluminum [...]

Our friend Gene is a man about town. In addition to being our freelance IT/technology  guru, Gene is a personal trainer to the stars, a fixture fitting, fixing and selling bikes at one of the best bike shops in Minneapolis, he helps out B. Rose with his phone at the Shockspital and sometimes hangs with [...]

Russ Roca over at the new site The Epicurean Cyclist has some lush new photographs of the small canvas seat bag hanging from the back of his Brooks saddle and his personal review of the bag so far. What I liked about what Russ did in the review is focus on the capacity of the [...]

Revolver Bikes, a stellar shop in Portland, Oregon, perhaps America’s finest city for cyclists has decided the carry the new Minnehaha bag line. (More specifically, the #05002, Medium Canvas Saddle Bag and the #05005 Utility Pannier.)
Revolver is the third account to commit to the new bags, joining Varsity Bike and Transit and Hiawatha Cyclery in [...]

Ladies and gents - the day of reckoning. Eric and I unloaded the container today and starting 9/03/08 Minnehaha Bags will be shipping from our fine retail partners. I had a chance to inspect the Canvas Cyclists Shoulder Bag Eric has been field testing. The bag continues to age well.
I’ve been jonesing for a set [...]

August 2008

I received this e-mail from a prospective customer last Wednesday and it concerned the use of the #05001 Small, Minnehaha Saddle Bag. I though the transcript might help a few folks out there decide on a bag.
Hello:
I visited your website and love your bags. I would like to order a small but have a question:
will [...]

Here are a few nuggets from the interwebs about Minnehaha Bags:
BikeCommuters.com
A Midway Bike Blog
Hiawatha Cyclery
Backcountry.com - The Goat

The Minnehaha Bag company was born on a 75 mile ride from Hinckley to Duluth, validated over coffee with friends Jim and Kevin, at of all places the Minnehaha Coffee Shop, and became reality in a one stall, South Minneapolis garage. (No, fooling, this is all true.)
We are bike nerds at heart, and that’s a [...]
